Executive Leadership
The founders leading the charge.
Two experienced technologists who turned a passion for education into a movement.
Kendal Harrell has over 20 years of experience in computer software user interface development, software testing, requirements, and design.
Currently employed in the banking industry as a computer applications developer, he is responsible for developing software that manages all images captured at bank branches. Previously, he spent 17 years as a Software Developer at SAS Institute, developing graphics software and user interfaces for data analytics tools.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Management from North Carolina State University.
Marina Harrell has over 29 years of experience in software development, testing, requirements, and design. In 2011, she founded Code Edge Inc. to realize her long-held dream of teaching and to bring quality computer programming education to underserved communities.
As Vice President, she designs curricula, communicates with university educators, and facilitates school programs and weekend workshops. She is currently a Director of Software Engineering at Salesforce, and spent 23 years at SAS prior to that.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from NC State University. Outside of work she enjoys singing, white water rafting, and skiing.
